Yes. The origin of the term is attributed to Huber who is a Senior

Fellow at the Manhattan Institute. The Manhattan Institute is the same

entity that paid Hardin and Kelman of VeriTox to write the following sentence

for the US Chamber's " A Scientific View of the Health Effects of Mold " .

" Thus the notion that toxic mold is an insidious secret killer as so many

trial lawyers and media would claim is Junk Science unsupported by actual

scientific study. "

Huber's legal fame rests both on his short term as clerk to Supreme

Court Justice Day O'Connor, and on his invention and promotion of the

term " junk science. "

Yea. I never use that term to describe the science of ACOEM et al,

because it is a term from Big Tobacco. Whenever I see the term " junk science "

used there is a good chance that what I am reading is junk science.

Same thing with the phrase " sound science " . That is a Big Tobacco term,

too. This is funny. They started The Advancement for Sound Science

Coalition. But people were pronouncing it " The ASS Co " . So they changed it to

TASSC. It was one of the front groups order to be defunct. Not sure if it

was in this RICO case of Judge Kessler's, or at an earlier date.
