Today's NY Post contains the following "bizarre" report of a "retired pharmacist" accused of pouring liquid mercury into cafeteria food at a hospital in Albany.

Unfortunately, this item has absolutely no information regarding any motive this alleged retired pharmacist may have had to do what he is alleged to have done? Apparently, public health officials are not too concerned because the liquid form of mercury "is usually too thick to be absorbed by the blood..even if ingested".

In any event .. public health authorities have a "duty" to identify the "motive" that caused this idiot to do what he is accused of doing.

Was he somehow trying to "cause" the same mysterious outbreak among those teens .. also in upstate Leroy New York? If so .. for what purpose?

A retired pharmacist has been charged with pouring liquid mercury into cafeteria food at a hospital in Albany.

Kimber was ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation after his arraignment Friday. He was charged with tampering with a consumer product.

Mercury is poisonous, but the liquid form found at the hospital is usually too thick to be absorbed by the human body, even if ingested.
