NBC's TODAY Show speaks with LeRoy students affected by strange "tics" NBC News' TODAY Show this morning spoke with two girls affected by the strange outbreak of "tics" among as many as 12 LeRoy high school students. 17-year-old Thera and 16-year-old Krautwurst both told TODAY's Ann Curry that they're frustrated by the lack of answers from medical personnel. Both are suffering from neurological "tics," which are uncontrollable twitches or vocal exclamations. Both displayed those tics very visibly during the interview (watch it now, embedded top right). Neither girl, nor their mothers, have seen any research, testing or reports since the New York State Department of Health began investigating their case. "I have put in a request for (the data), and I'm trying to get all the information together so I can proceed in finding a cure for our daughters," said 's mother, Beth . "Nothing's been done collectively for our daughters," said , Thera's mother. "Testing that (doctors) say all the girls have had -; they have not had." Thera herself says she wants answers, now. "There was nothing going wrong...and then I just woke up and that's when the stuttering started," she says through broken speech. "I want an answer -; a straight answer."
