Hi All,

This is an FYI. I am writing because after being sick for quite awhile I

realized in spite of exposure to mold something else was going on. After being

minimally exposed to lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic recently I became ill

again. I found an article on a new disease called Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis

and wrote to the author. I believe I have some form of this disease as my body

feels like it is turning fibrous and I am losing the ability to walk. I don't

have the kidney involvement or the rash but I do have another connective tissue

disease called lichen sclerosis. I am in a lot of pain as well and can't get

any help what-so-ever from main-stream medicine. I've had many MRIs with

contrast and only one was NOT Omniscan. And they tell me it's not MRIs that

made me sick. I am staying away from most doctors and only going when I feel the

need. I will reject most of their medications and will continue to do my detox

baths.

I was exposed to mold as well but I want all of you to know about these

gadolinium based contrasting agents because of our fragile immune systems. Be

especially careful if you have liver or kidney problems and one patient had

lupus. Even if you have never had an MRI it is worth reading as it will be hard

for them to deny what happens now with heavy metal toxicity. IMHO when exposed

to heavy metals your tissues turn fibrous and the fibrous tissue wraps itself

around bone, muscle and organs. The fibrosis is so severe it can actually

fracture a hip (this has been documented). When one dies of this disease it is

because their organs stop working properly due to the fibrosis.

Thank you, this is a real concern especially for MCS'ers , people with kidney

problems etc.   They are even giving you disclosure's at hopitals that you

were

advised of the dye, almost like a release of liability.

Thalium is another heavy metal dye as well they use.   Someone I know was

basically lied to about what they were giving him.  They made it sound

unimportant and even avoided giving the name. By the time the name was found it

had been injected and he suffered major breakout everywhere on his body.

Muscles stiffened etc.   He was left alone to deal with this. how to get it

out.  It was scarey.  We ended up giving him charcol, baths etc. unitil the

rah

subsided.

ADVISE TO OTHERS :  Get   all information you can ahead of time and say no

when

you need to say no.  It is your body and no one should be intentionally

poisoning you while making it out to be simplistic or unimportant.

Pathophysiology

The biochemical research on the cellular effects of thallium is extensive, but

little data exist in humans. Thallium demonstrates at least 5 major toxicologic

effects:

* Disruption of potassium-dependent processes

* Riboflavin sequestration

* Interference with cysteine residues

* Ribosomal inhibition

* Myelin sheath injuryThallium accumulates in tissues with high potassium

concentrations such as muscle, heart, and central and peripheral nerve tissue.

Thallium’s similar size to potassium results in early stimulation then

inhibition of potassium-dependent processes. Key enzymes involved in thallium

toxicity include pyruvate kinase and succinate dehydrogenase. Their inhibition

leads to impaired glucose metabolism and disrupts the Kreb’s cycle leading to

decreased ATP production. In addition, sodium-potassium ATPase is affected,

resulting in cell membrane injury. This enzymatic injury results in swelling and

vacuolization of mitochondrial and cell death. Within the mitochondria, thallium

also causes sequestration of riboflavin resulting in the inhibition of flavin

coenzyme flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD), impairing the electron transport

chain, and further reduction of ATP.

God Bless !!

Mine travels from  head to toe, one side or on  the other.  Mine has also gotten

worse over time.  They want me to see a Neuro, but I am refusing any tests with

a dye or metal.

Did anyone test for metals? But a true test only shows if exposure is recent.

Would a urinary phorhryn test tell more?

Everyone needs to take this seriously.

I had a test I found

out later had thallium. I asked over & over again if it's only dye.  The tech

assured me,  it's just dye. I asked what do they do if you react to it. Said

they give benadryl.

As times passed I have muscle stiffness that's only gotten worse & balance

problems.

I blamed the balance on mold & thought I had a hell of a yeast issue. I have

little redish specks now  too.

What are we supposed to do?

Kathy, my doctor (an MD)is having me do hair analysis testing for heavy metals.

My last exposure to gadolinium was in 2007 and they tell me it will show up.

Seeing where I have had 13 gadolinium based contrast agents injected in me I

know I'm toxic. When I am exposed to small amounts of toxic metals I react very

badly including losing the ability to walk and cognitive problems. My immune

system is shot and I'm on my forth autoimmune disorder and I think I may get

another one soon. These are throw away diagnosis and I aim to expose them for

what they are, exposures to toxic metals that induce many different autoimmune

disorders.

I recently got sick again after drinking protein drinks with high lead, mercury,

arsenic and cadmium content. According to Consumer Reports I was drinking the

worst one of them. I'm doing a panel that includes all of these metals

including thallium and barium. My hope is this test will tell me what is going

on as everything else has been ruled out including yeast overgrowth or candida.

I have to let my hair grow out though and I'll be totally gray by the time I

take the test. This is a small price to pay to find out why I am so sick.

Take care,

Sharon H.

DR Sherry has many good books out but a good one is called Detoxify or

Die " The infrared sauna removes toxins. It does a great job. The book instructs

how to use one the best I have ever had. Many of us with Lyme also have mold

issues. One begets the other. Then we have tons of diagnostic diseases. Have you

checked yourself for Lyme? Check it out on the net as well. But only go to a

Lyme professional otherwise they will miss it. It has to be right test and

diagnosis. I know also that Dr Shoemaker in the East treats people for these

types of serious mold problems. My biggest problem is mold and then Lyme. WHat I

have learned is never give up. Detoxify, build your body up and find ways to

kill the pathogens. Ozone is terrific for that as well. Look up Dr Saul Pressman

and ozone on the net. I just turned 60 and been sick all my life. I almost did

not make it this Jan with congestive heart failure. But I have had a great life.

They tell me I should never have lived this long but all the work that I put in

has paid off. So stay positive, surround yourself with good people, serve

others, and find sources of healing and power. For me it is God but for others

it could be a myriad of things. Stay strong. You will find the answers. You will

find a better life. Sorry I probably was too long winded. cathy
