What a trooper, glad it wasn’t too traumatic. Louise

update

Dear New Friends--

, Tammy, , - there are so many new ones to catch up

on! Welcome and hello... You will find this group to be so helpful. Will

look forward to getting to know you all in the days to come.

This morning we arrived at the hospital for a teeth cleaning session

with DJ's dentist - it means for DJ that he has general anesthesia and

it's done in the OR. He made me very proud with his good behavior, of

course he was in his wheelchair and unable to run away. But it seems if

I am there he does pretty well. The dentist ended up taking out 6 baby

teeth! (AT age 11!) He said they were ready and had no roots so DJ

should only need tylenol for pain. We sign for a tooth cleaning and any

needed dental care while the doctor is in his mouth and DJ is out, so we

knew it might happen. I just had to laugh at how " gap toothed " he looked

in the recovery room! I told DJ he would have to sit out on our doorstep

and play pumpkin tonight as his smile looked perfect for a

jack'o'lantern! He just smiled sleepily at me! He's a total love when he

is drugged up. He kept signing and saying to me, " I love you! " though he

always gets the " you " part mixed up and points to himself!

He seems none the worse for the experience. Just an FYI to those who are

interested in our experience.

Have a good night all, and God bless.

Hugs-

Donnell (mom to DJ-age 11)

Donnell: Glad everything went well with DJ and you have your own personal

Jack-O-Lantern. =)

Hi Donnell,

Thank you for sharing DJ's dental experience and so glad that it went well for

both of you. It is helpful for those of us who have younger children in terms of

what to possibly expect down the line. Also, I find your e-mails very candid and

refreshing- you are a wonderful and encouraging wordsmith! Blessings to you and

your family too.

Best,

Mom to , 3 yrs.
