That web site discusses consumption of this product. As a retired chemist well

trained in chemical safety, it is my opinion that that advice is hazardous.

Chlorine dioxide gas is a strong oxidizer, the material used to decontaminate

buildings suspected to be contaminated with anthrax. It reacts with anything

organic, such as your mouth, trachea, stomach, and will probably be totally used

up by damaging you long before it has any opportunity to kill any pathogens in

your body. Remember, those pathogens do their harm throughout your body, not

just in your stomach where a highly reactive chemical will do its damage.

There are applications for this material, such as decontamination of small

spaces, such as a closed up automobile, something I recently did using less

reactive chlorine bleach. But this material is not a medicine, and will likely

do more harm than good if taken internally.

Stabilized oxygen - chlorine dioxide

I bought stabilized oxygen but am wary about combining it with an acid to

produce chlorine dioxide. It's supposed to destroy pathogens. Here's a link

explaining it a bit.

Any thoughts on this? Thanks.
