, I do that. I do not boil all my water- I have reverse osmosis.

I will boil 4 quarts and add it to 8 quarts in 2 different jars and it

does cool faster.

I steep a percentage of the water, preparing a large batch of concentrate. When

i mix the tea for brewing, i just pour some cold concentrate with cold water

(from our well). Then i put a scoby and some kt in, cover, and ferment. It's

nice not having to brew tea every time, and having to wait for the tea to cool

down. I hated that.... - Woody

That's what I've always done, however, I use a water filter.

I haven't posted on it, but I have done a concentrated solution with success, as

well as sun tea. With the concentrate I boil the smaller amount of water,

steep it, drain out the leaves then add the sugar while the concentrate is still

hot, dissolve the sugar, then add water to the solution. It cools down fast and

can be poured in.

Yes, , that is my method. Only just done 4 batches that way. Our

KT comes out delicious every time. :-)

Margret:-)

P.S. It's not really a sun tea question, is it?
