Guest guest
The AC is most likely contaminated. For example, I had a case in Atlanta, where the woman was healthy without respiratory difficulties. She purchased a new luxury automobile and shortly after developed respiratory problems. Eventually she was diagnosed with Mediastinal (central part of the chest cavity, back part) sarcoidosis. The car and its AC system was tested and we found the primary contamination was a group of bacteria in the Actinomycete group. We did not find significant amounts of mold. However, since you live in rainy Australia you should be concerned about two groups of organisms: fungi and actinomycetes. Both groups have been associated with sarcoidosis by PCR DNA testing. The two most common organisms are Aspergillus fumigatus and Mycobacterium species. If you have the AC system tested, culture for both fungi and bacteria, particularly gram positive (Actinomycetes) bacteria. The building that she was in or is in should also have the same testing performed. I usually recommend PCR DNA mold tests to determine the species. I do not know if these tests are available in Australia. If not, culturing for fungi and morphological characteristic for fungal species must be done by a highly qualified mycologist. FYI re: - [] Sickbuilding dr thrasher re mold FYI, Jodie is in Australia. Not in the middle of the flooding but near there and has had several months of nearly constant rain. Guest guest
Okay oops. Both fungi and bacteria must be considered regardless of whether it is U.K. or Australia. Guest guest
Except one exclaims " Blimey! " and the other " Crikey! " when either is discovered. Which adds vocabulary and cultural complexity to further muck up the works. No wonder empires don't last forever. Are we next? Carl Grimes Healthy Habitats LLC ----- Okay oops.
