Thinking about it some more I really need to get the local hospital mto accept I am dth lead co-ordinator of Henry's medical care. When we went for the MRI and lumbar puncture before Christmas I finally met the aneasthetist. He tolds me the neurologist had said that I didn't want Henry to have a GA but to be sedated. I said that the exact opposite was the case. A good example of what communication shouldn't leave out the patient or the patient's parent.Regarding my own care at the same hospital I was not sent copies of some letters - I didn't even know of their existence - and this led to a complete impasse, where one bit of the NHS was saying no x until y has happened and the other service was saying no y. The jam was caused by the letters containing inaccurate information. Had I been copied in, (or even consulted!)the problem would never have happened.Margaret> >> > If anyone finds the doctors at their hospital will asctully give details of test results to you (not just a general " it's fine " ) please would they let me know. Addenbrooke's is awful and faltly refuses .
