Yes. Knew something was different. None of teachers noticed, just said he was the most distructive child they ever had. When he was 17 a teacher asked me to takehim and get tested it took a year of running to Drs to have them tell me I was not at the right DrSent from my Samsung Epicâ„¢ 4G Touch --- Re: looking for support To: "autism-aspergers " <autism-aspergers > CC:

He's been through 17 years of frustration? The school never tested him? They can't diagnose but surely they could have helped you in some way. How old is he now? He must be very bright. To: autism-aspergers Sent: Sunday, June 17, 2012 10:39 PM Subject: Re: looking for support

Schools usually don't like any diagnosis of autism because it means more services and that means more money. At least you know for sure and he still has several years in the system to get what he needs. Has he graduated yet? Where do you live? All of us (tell me if I am wrong) I believe, feel so very confused, overwhelmed, and did I say, confused? when it comes to the initial diagnosis and the search there of. What state do you live in? What are you experiencing? Where is your child at this point? No matter what happens, know that you are reaching out to others means that you are a good mom who is doing the right thing by her child. We can never stop searching for better resources and help for ourselves and our children.~Carly To: "autism-aspergers " <autism-aspergers > Sent: Sunday, June 17, 2012 9:58 PM Subject: Re: looking for support
