Guest guest
Your house would realy smell like weed if it were weed. I understand that even one plant can let the neighbors know. I might not recognize it. I once asked, " What is that awful smell? "   and was told, " Don't you really know what that is? "  I sure didn't. Evidently it was weed that someone had in the restroom there. I never tried tht at any time. And when I " smoked " I did not inhale though I tried once and about coughed to death. I only would " smoke " when I was irritated at Mom or my husband. LOL. It was my rebellion. But I never smoked and so I believed it when someone said he didn't inhale weed. I was probably the only one. LOL Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Friday, June 8, 2012 9:26 AM Subject: Re: I am now growing Stevia  Ernest. Let me see if I got this right. I don't harvest anything now (from the Stevia plant). I wait until I see blossoms, then I pull the leaves off by pruning (blossoms too?). Then I do the dehydrating and powder. Did I get this right? What would happen if I plucked some leaves right now? I just got these plants yesterday. I'm going to go on the internet now and read up on Stevia, etc. I just hope my neighbors don't think I'm growing any weed!!! lol Melody Switch to: Text-Only, Daily Digest • Unsubscribe • Terms of Use .. Guest guest
Carolyn. My house would not smell of weed because I'm growing my Stevia outside. I was just wondering if my neighbors (who grow veggies in the backyards), might think it was pot. And if they say anything, I'll just snip a leaf, give it to them and say " Taste Stevia, it's sweet " I guarantee they have NEVER heard of Stevia. They are mostly Italian who don't speak English and put sugar in EVERYTHING. lol Melody > > Your house would realy smell like weed if it were weed. I understand that even one plant can let the neighbors know. I might not recognize it. I once asked, " What is that awful smell? Guest guest
Can't confuse Stevia with pot. The color is different and the leaf shape is quite different. ew Re: Your stevia and no mix up on weed Carolyn. My house would not smell of weed because I'm growing my Stevia outside. Guest guest
EW: The people around here would not know a pot plant from any other. Guest guest
Maybe you should leave the plant tag in the planter so people can read it and get themselves educated. ew Re: Your stevia and no mix up on weed EW: The people around here would not know a pot plant from any other. Guest guest
the police had a training session on how to recognize them once and I remember their leaves having the 5 leaves and sort of like an oak leaf but with the larger laf and then the other ones. I don't recall the odor but did know there was a smell when someone was using it in the boys restroom. I didn't know what it was but knew it was a smell.  One of the kids told me what it was. They had smelled it before at school. The stevia was just a single leaf from what I remember from your plant. Sort f like a bush. Most people today know what Jane is better than those of us who are past 50.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 9, 2012 9:39 AM Subject: Re: Your stevia and no mix up on weed  EW: The people around here would not know a pot plant from any other. Guest guest
I know. i thought the stevia looked a bit like the basil leaves. Melody's Stevia looked like it was doing very well. Her lettuces were too. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, June 9, 2012 9:32 AM Subject: Re: Your stevia and no mix up on weed  Can't confuse Stevia with pot.
