Guest guest
For those of you that remember my last post of several weeks ago, the home I identified in Massachusetts is still for sale. To be able to enter the home you are still required to sign a waiver freeing the sellers from legal recourse due to the high levels of mold. Never fear, Virginia and I found another home in the same type of situation. Here is the web link, _http://www.newenglandmoves.com/listings/935700_ (http://www.newenglandmoves.com/listings/935700) , for it. Looks like a beautiful home but looks are deceiving. The home is bank owned from foreclosure. They have had several offers on the home but will not accept any because all want a private home inspector to view the property. They won’t allow any of the utilities to be turned on were an inspection allowed. Why you might ask? There was no heat on in the home for some time and it gets cold in Sturbridge Massachusetts during the winter. This means water pipes burst in the home causing damage throughout the home to include mold. It is so bad that the FHA and VA will not give a loan on the property unless whoever buys it fixes it up first to meet all Government Codes. I’m told by those that know that the bank is trying to say they have no knowledge of the homes condition but what they want is an investor to pay cash so no bank loan or inspection is required. Sounds like a deal straight out of ENRON! About 15 years ago Massachusetts passed a Law saying sellers must tell the entire history of a property for sale. This law came about after a man in Framingham Massachusetts killed his Wife and then chopped her body up and buried it in different parts of the home. Whoever sold the home knew but hid the information from prospective buyers. Virginia and I viewed the home until we uncovered the history. Are there any Massachusetts folks who can find out if the Law is still in effect or if the corrupt Massachusetts legislature repealed it? The State AG, Coakley, or State Consumer Protection Bureau would probably know. We need to inform the Public of what banks are doing on foreclosed properties. This is one of the reasons we have a banking and housing crisis. Can anybody help us on getting this information out? Also, are there any Massachusetts folks that have a web site or contact for the Massachusetts Tea Party? Ken and Virginia Moulton
