Guest guest
I am new to the group and have some questions. I have had some strange symptoms over the past few years. My office building is known as a sick building but I do what I can to keep you office clean. So, I thought that was why I had symptoms. Recently I noticed a water stain over my bed. At that time I was having daily headaches, migraines about twice a week, nose bleeds, brain fog, head, pain, and so much congestion I thught I had sinusitus. I felt terrible. After being prescribed some Nasacort nasal spray I got much better. Also I got rid of everything on my bed and replaced it washable things and everything is now enclosed in allery proof covers. My bed is changed twice a week and I try to wash all the bedding on weekend. All that made a huge difference. My bedding must have been contaminated the mold. Finally I got the workers here to check the waterstain. The wall that is behind the head of my bed backs up to a walk in attic that we don't use. Three days ago they found a very small leak from the roof and it was keeping the insulation between my room and the attic damp. It was COVERED, with black mold. At this point they have fixed the roof, removed the insulation and replaced the wall. The room is being aired out and then it will be painted. The area was enclosed in plastic as they did the work. What things to I need to do before I move back into the room? I sure don't want to get sick again. I am willing to do any amount of work to stay healthy. I would appreciate an suggestions

Kind regards, Kathleen mold exposure I have a friend who just quit her job at bank in a building which has bad case of mold in it. The company is doing next to nothing and employees are suffering. My friend was frequently sick with all kinds of infections and she finally had enough. I am very proud of her for making the right desicion! She has also gained weight during the exposure.I thought I would suggest iodine to her, it is antifungal and antiviral so it should help?she is very sensitive and gets migraines too, probably she should start slow with iodine? and with all companion nutrients. She had hair mineral test done already, and she is very high on copper, and sodium and potassium and both low. and generally all minerals at the low end. Her gall bladder was removed last year. Maybe the problem with copper dates long back and caused liver problems. I think she said she has lived in a moldy house before, too.Susa
Guest guest
I would recommend iodine, and getting tested for KPU/HPU through vitamin diagnostics or getting a red cell mineral test for zinc, which is probably low because of her high copper. ~Mimi www.iammimi.com
Guest guest
My doctor is treating me for mold exposure. I worked in a moldy building and it finally got to me. He prescribed Cholestyramine three times a day and lots and lots of vitamin C -- up to bowel tolerance. Iodine is also very important. He is the doctor who treated me for Chlamydia Pneumoniae and Lyme. I feel that he saved my life. He also recommended Dr. Brownstein's books on Iodine and Salt. I talked to him again today and he thinks severe mold exposure might require IV vitamin C. For oral C, he told me to use sodium ascorbate-- too much calcium in calcium ascorbate. So far it has been effective in mitigating symptoms when I get re- exposed from time to time. > > Hi Susa, > Very sorry to hear about your friend. Yes, absolutely iodine will help her. Guest guest
Susa, I think your plan to encourage your friend to take iodine is excellant, it may take higher doses, and possibly long term doses, but it will work. You are pretty intelligent.and certainly a dedicated friend. I have a friend in Wisconsin, who was recently dxed with five different types of fungus, in his blood, and now is being treated by a German Cancer Clinic for the fungus, he was terminal in wisconsin, so the fungus can do a bad job on us. david lubbock tx. Guest guest
Susa,Consider this list for your friend. Many are detoxing from mold there. Iodine can sure help but may need more. /Mold fungus is a terrible thing. The group talks about medical, legal & mold remediation.
