Guest guest
Group, The issues of my concern have been handled to my satisfaction so I'm returning from my leave of absence. I'll catch up over the next day or so. In the meantime, there are several long-time members who have stepped up to the plate and handled many queries quite well. This is good! Which fits perfectly with my previous question of Who Do You Trust? And Why? Only one person mentioned it in another thread. Something along the line of " I'd rather trust someone who has stabilized out how to manage their exposures than someone still struggling. " So my suggestion is those of you who have figured it out (at least for yourself) take more of a leadership role and become mentors for the newer ones. Keep in mind that what works for you may not work for others. So topics on how to manage is very appropriate. The technical side of the issues such as fungal biology, building science, moisture control, toxicology are better handled by those with that expertise. Dr Thrasher and Jeff May are primary, but there are others. Lost in the latest perfect storm of postings is the fantastic research by several members. Some of the better studies are posted here before I find them on many of the professional groups. Keep it up! My final suggestion is that everyone be acutely aware that while there are still differences of opinion on many issues, there are some which are in agreement by experts (the disputes are usually from people selling products and their own services). *These are facts. An opinion about them doesn't change a fact.* Others may be generally agreed upon but differ in some details. Some are still the wild, wild, west. Don't be afraid of facts. It feels like it's taking control away from you but they can be powerful friends and prevent unnecessary cost and lost time! Guest guest
I stopped to read your post, Carl, but have been just deleting every other from this list. I've been overwhelmed with so many posts that my suspicious mind tells me there may be those on this list who are shills from the insurers sent here to do just that - drive everyone away from a list that has been their bane for decades. I hope that posters can learn to be more considerate on here. Sorry if I've offended anyone.
