Guest guest
If you can get a storage unit without sharred air, it would be doable, buut all the units I looked at sharred air, and my things came back moldier than they went in. You could rent a pod and have it brought to your house, but they are also moldy, but you could clean it. Also, looks kind of bad if you must leave it in front of your house. Good luck > > Hi all, > > We're hoping to put our house on the market and the realtor suggests putting some things in storage to declutter the house. These items are not moldy, but since I'm very sensitive to mold I'm worried about renting a storage unit with mold left from the last renter's belongings. > > If we do it, I'd get a temp-controlled unit and try to clean it first. I could also lay plastic on the floor and encase everything in plastic bags. This seems reasonable, but I still have a huge fear of doing it because I've had 2 bouts of full body hives this summer from 2 different friends' houses. > > Just curious if anyone has any thoughts, if this is too risky or if it seems like the risk can be managed. > > Thanks, > > Amy >
Guest guest
Ack, I hadn't even thought of shared air! Thanks, . I think I'll do my best to declutter and put boxes in closets, maybe check with a friend to see if I can store a couple pieces of furniture there.
