Guest guest
I figured my breakfast crew have been eating sprouts for weeks now and even though I tell them that sprouts are healthy, these people don't have computers so they can't look this up. I made up a one page information page on the Benefits of Sprouting. I made some copies, and this morning when I was giving out the little ziplock bags I simply handed them the page and said " When you get a few minutes during your work day, why not learn about what's going in your body every morning? " They all grabbed their copy of the info and started reading. One guy said " I've heard about the benefits of sprouting, but I never met a sprouter till I met you " and as he was reading he goes " Well, here's something I never knew, THEY HAVE PROTEIN?? " I said 'You learn something every day don't you, lol " ?? So everybody is having some sprouts and they feel good. That's all I need. Guest guest
Jane, I am the official Sproutlady of Bensonhurst. The other day a car was passing and someone shouted 'HEY SPROUTLADY, How are you doing? " as the car whizzed by. By the time I turned my head, the car was gone and I have NO idea who was shouting to me. Oh, I'll find out SOME DAY!!!! lol Melody

Guest guest
What's interesting is that NOBODY had ever really heard of sprouting (like I do) before I started to do it. I've had people say " oh, I've been to salad bars and they have it as a gourmet topping on the salads, but I NEVER thought of growing these things to eat them " I have heard this over and over. And the gang at breakfast actually eat them out of the bag sometimes. I've never done that. I have to have them either in a salad, on a sandwich, SOMETHING!!!. And I'm finding that the mixing of all the various greens and sprouts is not only delicious but quite colorful. Oh, I have an update on my pea shoots (grown on coffee filters). Now I know why people prefer to grow them in a medium. Because when they really start to shoot up, they have nothing to stabilize them. When grown in a medium, once they shoot up they STAY up!! I like that so I'm using the sure to grow mats from now on. Love them Melody > > We told you that you were becoming famous. > > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > > Â > > > ________________________________ > > To: sproutpeople > Sent: Monday, June 25, 2012 2:12 PM > Subject: Re: This morning I handed out flyers on the Benefits of Sprouts > > > > Â > > Jane, > > I am the official Sproutlady of Bensonhurst.
