This is all so frustrating we know something is making us ill but because were fighting something we cant see and it tears down our immune system were not even sure if it's micotoxins or chemicals that are causing the problems. > > We have purchased a new computer since leaving our moldy house. > We cannot seem to get a keyboard and mouse that doesn't give me mold symptoms. Guest guest
good point dave, and realize that all electronics are coated in chemical fire retardants in this country, again to protect us against the unlikely event of fire, just like with the mattresses, that chemical coating slowly wears off, mixing in the air, the dust, etc.....as well the keyboard mouse are plastic and probably offgas all by themselves a bit, we are surrounded.... sue v >Are you absolutely sure its the keyboard and mouse? Guest guest
Do you think you could possibly be suffering from EMF? I thought my computer was moldy and when I started having the same symptoms around televisions and appliances , I made the connection. Just an idea before you go out and purchase new things...experiment a little. Good luck~ > > We have purchased a new computer since leaving our moldy house. > We cannot seem to get a keyboard and mouse that doesn't give me mold symptoms. Guest guest
I've done pretty good by basicly staying with older models and building my computer out of older parts, haven't had to deal with new off gassing, however there are sometimes my ears get to ringing and I get to felling bad, but I'm not sure if this would be because of EMF or just something else because I get these symptoms from other things too. > > Dianne, > > Good insight. Guest guest
so far I've done pretty well by just getting certain family members to give me their older computers when they get new ones and just exchange the older parts in them for the newer but already offgassed parts, however theres still going to be some tiny particle output that goes along with heat output, no way to avoid that except not turn it on. I wonder if you contacted a computer repair store and talked to them if they might build you a pretty decent computer with used parts but still fairly new, might even get a good deal on one. > > > We have purchased a new computer since leaving our moldy house. > > > We cannot seem to get a keyboard and mouse that doesn't give me mold symptoms. Guest guest
I ended up putting my keyboard in a plastic bag. I rationalized that a turkey cooking bag should be a different & less stinky kind of plastic. I was right. After a while the bag loses it's transparency from typing through it. --- In , " Jack Thrasher, Ph.D. " <toxicologist1@...> wrote: > > Yes: various plasticizers and metals are used in the circuit boards.
