Guest guest
I guess it depends on what you're trying to accomplish - but IMO, if you're trying to control dust mites and such DO NOT get a mattress cover. (and I would stay away from tempur-pedic personally...I don't know about their mattress covers but their mattresses smell terribly). Anyway, don't get a mattress cover - get a mattress *encasing* that encases the entire mattress and zips on one end. A mattress cover would help some if the mean pore size is small enough that mites can't get through. But a mattress encasing with a very small mean pore size specifically for dust mites will be much more effective. Again - get covers for your pillows too. You can also get mattress encasings for your box spring too. We didn't go that far to try to save money - but they are available. I was just looking at Allergy Buyers Club. I didn't get mine from there, but it looks like they have organic encasings along with regular to fit around different budgets. Heart of Vermont is a great company too...but kind of spendy. We have some pillows from there - love them. They also have mattress encasings but they are more expensive. Guest guest
yes - definitely go for an encasement over just a cover. And encasement will do a better job with allergens like dust mites.
