Guest guest
Yes I have read lots of different antibiotic protocols! Its quite confusing...We finish this one on Thurs so will let you know how we go , we have to re test eight weeks later. Yesterday he had 3 jet black poo's which scared the life out of me as this can indicate upper intestinal bleeding apparently (I googled it) but I spoke to Dr T and he was not too concerned as he had had a normal one since and was very well in himself. All has returned to normal now and my son looks bright faced and cheerful for once!! Am hoping it was some sort of die off??! Guest guest
i had a referral to my gastro who also told me that they wouldn't treat the h pylori in eddie as " we couldn't confirm that he was having symptoms and its not productive to treat unless he's having symptoms " . the breakspear prescribed the relevant treatment which they term " triple therapy " and it needs to include all three drugs to be effective. actually it stirred up all kinds of horrible things in eddie, who went off the rails with this " triple treatment " and has not returned since, so please be wary of treating with these drugs. for your info, our gastro has agreed to do an endoscopy to see if the h pylori is causing any obvious trouble in the gut. in hindsight i would seek out a natural treatment to h pylori. a large majority of us have this bacteria in our gut and do not display any problems. it can however lead to discomfort and ulcers, so in my opinion it warrants a treatment plan. how could we possibly know if it was bothering our kids? eddie wouldn't be able to tell me certainly. karenza > > > > > > > > > > Hi > > > > > > > > > > I had my son tested privately from a lab in America and the stool test > > > > showed he has H Pylori: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Helicobacter pylori 5.7E+005 H > > > > > I took the results to both my GP and also to my sons NHS paediatrician > > > > and they both said, firstly stool tests are not accurate and secondly they > > > > wont treat him or even retest for the infection. > > > > > > > > > > Is there any thing I can do to get him treated/tested? > > > > > > > > > > Many Thanks > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
