Guest guest
I don't mean to get too personal here, but which medications were you given that caused the heart attack? So sorry to hear of that challenge; I have had symptoms of heart failure that seem related to medications/food. I'm curious about what meds you were given. Anyone else react strongly to charcoal? I know, it sounds weird, but I really reacted to it. I know it can be so helpful, but I'm scared to try it again. sally ________________________________ From: " kpmanganaro@... Guest guest
Sally, what kind of reaction do you have to charcoal? I know someone who said it made her wired or hyper and wouldn't take it after that. I follow the rule that unless I understand (or have a very, very good, educated guess) as to why I had a bad reaction to something, and it makes sense to take it again based on that, I won't try it again. Best to be safe. Guest guest
I was given high doses of T3 thyroid hormone that were not properly ramped up slowly in incremental doses as the body tolerated. I was also given a high dose of pregnenolone which has been documented by Dr. Ray Sahelian to cause atrial fibrillation. The hydrocortisone they gave me helped for two days and then I ended up in bed for a week with high fever, a sore throat that wouldn't quit and terrible fatigue and weakness. The usual things such as echinacea and goldenseal did not work. Nothing worked until I stopped the hydrocortisone. The F & F doctor thought I was detoxing on the hydrocortisone. It's funny because every other doctor knew that the hydrocortisone was like Dr. Shoemaker says.... " like throwing gasoline on a fire if you are toxic from mold " I ended up sicker from their treatment than when I walked in the door. Prior to going I had been doing high doses of vitamin C to bowel tolerance. This resulted in a day of herxing and then slow but steady improvement. When I left work several months before I could barely walk. The F & F doctor thought I was a hormone only patient. He got nothing right. I do have CSF as verified by Dr. Cheney. I also took the Shoemaker tests last month and am a moldie and MCS person. I am in the .5-1% of the population according to some of my friends that interpreted the test for me. ( HLA DR BDQ) My MSH is low and so is my VIP. My C4a level is within the range. My TGF b1 is out of range and is at 11,220. ( normal being 344-2382) My LAD collapsed in the absence of coronary artery disease. My weight was fine for my age and all heart factors such as BP, cholesterol, HDL and LDL were in the normal range. All this happened within two months ( three visits) For me the F & F Center was my nightmare!! > > I don't mean to get too personal here, but which medications were you given that > caused the heart attack? So sorry to hear of that challenge; I have had > symptoms of heart failure that seem related to medications/food. I'm curious > about what meds you were given. Anyone else react strongly to charcoal? I > know, it sounds weird, but I really reacted to it. I know it can be so helpful, > but I'm scared to try it again. sally > > > ________________________________ > From: " kpmanganaro@... Guest guest
Pwr2Heal: I am so fatigued right now that I might welcome feeling hyper or wired...hee. Sorry, my sense of humor has been dimmed as my brain fogs. Ah, well. Within minutes of taking it, one of my calves swelled to three times its size, my hands and fingers swelled, I had chills and purple blotches on my arms and legs, my extremities got super cold, and my fingernails turned blue. Scary. I don't want anyone to be afraid of charcoal, as I know this is a really atypical reaction. So, too, is my severe reaction to Benadryl, which helps so many other folks. It seems that I react adversely to the cure!! Weird.  I haven't tried it again since then, as I had eaten nothing else and could identify no other causes for this scary reaction and don't want to experience that again. Again, I am not suggesting charcoal is bad; it's just scary for me. ________________________________ From: Pwr2Heal <pwr2heal@...> Sent: Sat, August 21, 2010 12:33:01 PM Subject: Re: [] Bentonite clay/charcoal coffee enemas  Sally, what kind of reaction do you have to charcoal? Guest guest
Kathleen! Doctors have tried to give me steroids of one kind or another for years. I had a bad reaction to Prednisone (spelling?) years ago and will not take these drugs, even though so many providers view them as the only course for my lung issues. So glad I trusted my instincts and refused; I am so sorry for your horrible experience!! Good health to you...it's coming!!! ________________________________ From: Kathleen <kpmanganaro@...> Sent: Sat, August 21, 2010 1:19:16 PM Subject: [] Re: Bentonite clay/charcoal coffee enemas  I was given high doses of T3 thyroid hormone that were not properly ramped up slowly in incremental doses as the body tolerated.
