Guest guest
Most people would have no need to go to the lengths I go to, but making ANY choice for the better is a good step. I think half the problem is that many people don't even know there are so many things wrong with our food supply. I sure didn't! What a wake up call to make changes though! > > Some don't believe. Some look at it as very difficult, which it seems to be. It is unfortuante that we can't go someplace and purchase healthy foods. I do more organic now than I have before.     Then some of us have gotten lazy. I am going to try to improve. i doubt i will ever get to your level. a bit at a time. > > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > >  >
Guest guest
Thank you . I have about 7 trays on that stand right now. Love it. I'm also uploading my video on my trip to the Gardening Store. I had such a good time. I saw hydroponic units, etc. Coir, plants, growing things. and wait until you see what I brought home and showed Alan. You'll fall off of your chair. It's uploading now. I believe you subscribe to my youtube channel (I don't know what happens if a person subscribes to my channel) Do you get a notification or something? I'm going to put the link to my latest video on this forum Melody > > > > : > > > > I have a diabetic friend who ALWAYS has stomach problems, gas, bloating, this and that. Guest guest
I'm 78 this month. Most people guess my age in the late sixties. Both my dentist and Dr. say that my health is far better than most diabetics at my age. When i told my Dr. what i had fixed for dinner the night before, he said, " I should be eating at your house " . My Dentist is a vegan, and altho I'm not, she is proud of my eating habits. ew HI. I just had to put my two cents in because of a conversation I had today on the bus with yet another person I struck up a conversation with. I had just come back from my first trip to a garden supply store (I'm making the video, it will be up later). So I'm standing at the bus stop and this lady is talking Italian next to me and being Italian, of course we all start talking to each other and she says " I cannot wait to get home and get off my feet they are killing me " . I look at her and say " You're diabetic right? " She says 'yeah, my feet hurt " . I said " How's you sugar? " She says " not bad, but I have lots of problems in my life and I'm going through a hard time " . I say " what do you eat? " She says: " Oh, I'm good, I'm also on Coumadin because of my heart but I watch what I eat, and my doctor says to not eat too much chicken because it will affect the coumadin " . I just looked at her. That was a new one for me. I said 'So what do you eat? " She said 'well, I don't really eat things I'm not supposed to eat, then she leaned in and whispered " Well, I do have my macaroni " . I said " you have WHAT??? " She says " Hey, I'm Italian, I'm not giving up my macaroni " . I said nothing. She then said: 'You know what my weakness is? " I said 'what? " She said " Bread " I said " You eat bread?? " She said " All day long " I said 'You eat bread all day long, and you're diabetic, now why on earth would you do that? " Her answer?? Hey, if I die, I die. I looked at her and for the first time I opened my mouth (I've heard this so many times but never responded. Today I responded. I said " Now why on earth would you say such a thing, what do you mean if you die, you die? " She looked at me and said " Well, I don't know what else to do? " MELODY HAD AN OPENING!!! I said " Why don't you do what I do? " (By the way, I thought she was over 70, she was 56). She said 'What do you do? " I said " I grow sprouts in my home, I grow broccoli, sunflower sprouts, radish, etc. " She goes " Oh, you have a backyard?? " I said 'No, in my kitchen " I then pulled out my Flip, pressed play and there she was (and everybody else at the bus stop), looking at my kitchen sprouting shelf and my new greening up stand. They were going ooooohhh and aaaaaah, " look she grows her food " . Then they all got on the bus to go home and eat their bread and macaroni. I do believe than only CERTAIN people who want to change WILL change. lol Mel
Guest guest
I'd love to be your advisor. Did I ever tell you that I was an English Major in college? ew Re: OT - Hungry for Change HI. Guest guest
That is a gift but must drive your husband wild. I don't remember things word for word but remembering as much as I do, he gets irritated. And some things seem like dreams instead of something that happened. I can remember every conversation (almost word for word)I have had. When I quote back to my husband a conversation we had 30 years ago he usually throws up his hands and goes " OMG, there she goes again, don't you ever forget anything?? " And I can relate WORD FOR WORD the Star Trek episodes I've seen. I was once watching Star Trek and I said to the person sitting next to me, " Watch, I'll say the dialogue as it's being said " . She said 'Get outta here, no way " Way!!! lol .._,___
