For professional liability insurance I use Marsh-Seabury & . I found them years before ILCA started offering insurance. I pay $147 per year for a part time LC. How does this compare with the rest of you?Star SiegfriedArcata, CA

Just curious if anyone knows how Obama Care will affect what we

are or are not getting? I ask because in a speech of his earlier this year he specifically

mentioned autistic kids. Does anyone know what his plan is or was it just convenient

for him to mention that because his speech was in April, autism awareness month?

Please don’t make this a political debate and respect both sides

of the isle.

My understanding- an it willUnfold and be interpreted-Is the changes are insurances now have to cover pee existing conditions-There is no co pay for BC pills-And seniors have affordable prescriptions-And when you are laid off; you are still insured. That's the quick bottom line.My understanding- is that this was not the big Obama care everyone was worried about- just one peice of legislation. Not getting political-So in regards to our kids? Well if you change jobs and insurance- they can't be denied based on pre existing conditions-But I'll be looking more closely at it later this week-And again- interpretation and implementation is unfolding.Sent from my iPhone

Thanks for replying Jane. I am curious about this too, example: We have a school here in town for kids on the spectrum. The kids go for four hours a day four days a week. It really is a perfect match and what I would love for my daughter. We however do not qualify because, well we (husband) are gainfully employed and do not qualify for medicaid. We do have the option to pay out of pocket at a tune of almost $400 a week. We fall through EVERY crack. We have insurance which is very minimal coverage. Currently we spend about $200- to $400 a month on co-pays. So by us remaining employed will we still fall through the cracks or will she have a "fair" chance. I feel like we are punished when we were told straight

out because we have a job we can't get many services. It's frustrating. If guns kill people then pencils cause misspelled words To: "autism-aspergers " <autism-aspergers > Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2012 1:28 PM Subject: Re: Insurance

I know exactly what you mean. My husband & I are in the same boat. I don't have any positive advice but just wanted to let you know we share your frustration. I hope it gets better for all of us. Let's try to hang in there though because too much stress is not healthy for anyone of us. Gladys

That is very sad, I am sorry they went to that extreme! We will not go to that extreme, divorcing or quit a job. I wish they would put a copy of what this is supposed to be so people could read the real deal not hearsay. If guns kill people then pencils cause misspelled words To:
