Guest guest
I assume that check in day is for less active members to check in with and update the group so they don't get deleted or something? Anyway, I'm checking in like everyone else. At 3 1/2 yoa, and are doing well in full-time preschool. They're in a special needs school/day care center in an integrated class with 8 typically developing peers and 6 other children with special needs (usually language delayed). We're happy with their assigned teachers and therapists overall and believe the boys are making progress (though I don't think as much progress as in EI). Everyone attributes the increased gap to the transition. I think it's more about the loss of 1-on-1 special education... though their therapies are still 1-on-1. On the up side, their focus and ability to follow routines have improved via the classroom. I'm sure it'll all be ok. Their big sister continues to do well at school too. It's been a crazy 3 months with the school drop-off and pick-up schedule. Lots of change but it's all worth it at the end of the day. xo maggie Mom to Olivia '01 and & '05 (IDs w/ DS)
