Washing/cleaning scoby with vinegar.....Question please?

Hi,

I have often heard and read it is okay to clean a scoby with vinegar " raw apple

cideR vinegar " I assume is best.

My question is ?

1...Does it change the taste ?

2...Will some other cultures be introduced that are in the raw vinegar thus

change the KT for the better or worse?

Just wondering..

I did not have mold or anything, I just wanted to use something besides clean

water, to remove some of the stringy stuff etc...

in TEXAS..........
