My father drank alcohol way too much. My mother's father was an alcoholic. My

middle brother is an alcoholic. My father's mother died of alcoholism. My

older brother was an alcoholic and a dope addict. I used marijuana for 2 years.

I have sort of an addicted personality.

So, it is important to me to minimize any alcohol in my kombucha, kefir,

fermented veggies, and any other fermentation that I might decide to do. I have

bought a hydrometer for the kombucha. My hydrometer costs only $8.00. Do any

of you keep track of the alcohol percentage in your kombucha and if so, what is

the average level. They say (they??) that the maximum is .5%. But what is your

average amount?

And do you try to minimize it? And if so, how do you minimize it?
