Guest guest
Personally I think using the search option willl answer many question that have been asked recently. I use it quite a bit and will only ask a question if I cant find an answer the addresses my question > > KC or Barb: I am a member of a Lyme forum that works much the same way as this forum does. For new members they have put together a piece that they ask you to read prior to joining the discussion. That piece is made up of common questions and answers and is called " Important Information for Newcomers. " I wonder if we should do that here so that the same questions are not asked over and over again. It would also make it easier for a new member to just read that article and then ask questions that remain unanswered. Perhaps there is something like this on file here already, if so forgive me for not knowing. Just a suggestion. Thanks~ Diane >
Guest guest
Tug, I appreciate the time you have taken to respond to me. I am working with a very lagging computer, with brain inflammation and CFS with two kids, recent stachy exposure and am pretty desparate to get out of here asap. I think a document as Diane is proposing would be a great help for people who cannot or do not have the time to search through archives if someone has the time and energy to put one together. I also very very much appreciate the time and energy folks have put into respondeing to my questions and helping me out in this crisis. Thank you all for all so very much.. Guest guest
The majority of us here are either suffering or have suffered from mold exposure and have a pretty good idea of what your going through. The decisions your going to have to make in the next few months will effect you for the rest of your life, hopefully you'll make the right decisions and you and your family will start to feel better sooner than later. Personally Im in my mid 50's and know that I more than likely will never fully recover from my mold exposure. Whether it's financial, emotional or physical I know I'll always have a scar from this tragedy. Guest guest
Im so sorry. I dont know what I am going to get back as far as quality of life.. I have more energy and thats a relative term (very weak still, neuro inflammation comes and goes)).. so grateful for that esp since making this decision and having to do what has to be done to get out of here and get my kids out until we have a better understanding.. and I dont really want to go back anyway.. this was my sick house and Im not sure even if it is sparkling clean I can go back. Guest guest
My church also reeks of mold and a restaurant a club I belong to gathers. I don't go to the church anymore or the club. I mentioned it to club, another place to meet but so far they still go there. To make it worse, I am newish member, so I guess they feel I have the nerve to suggest they go elsewhere so I can attend. Next time, similar circumstances, I am going to think of another reason to suggest going elsewhere than moldy smell. People dont get it or may not even smell it, even though I think it is choking thick moldy smell. I do think I smell it more now though because I'm paying attention (but restaurant I would have before too). I used to notice odors but dismissed them all as meaning nothing but it's not good air and of course bad air can be odorless too but I think an easy sign that things are not okay, or HIGHLY likely to be bad. I think that residences I've been in smell like they have more problems than business buildings. However I find quite a few restaurants do not smell healthy. > > I too will never physically recover from the mold exposure. No one on my end > will. > >  >  And what you said about the church. Yes most all a business. My neighbor > right in front of me has a " Church " he is a " Pastor " but when we put up signs > begging for help he ignored us. When we ended up homeless he went to my home and > helped himself to our personal property that was sitting outside of the home. > He did not even ask. We happen to find out. Our faith too has been tested time > and time again. Our families abandoned us. > >
