I first had tilapia in Mexico and wasn't much call for it here.  But it was

good here too.  Arkansas opened up a tilapia farm.  They also have trout

farms, and probably catfish farms, too.  I thought that a number of places in

the states were raising tilapia now.   But if the demand is more than they can

produce they are probably going to other countries.

I had read those things too...the labeling should disclose - otherwise it really

has no meaning. I used to eat a lot of tilapia, then read that the majority of

it sold here actually comes from South American farms, which don't even come up

to our standards for sanitation. The info said our farms have improved, but our

packaging just says " farm raised " - no location. At least you can say you know

what is in the food you grow.

This looks yummy, I'm going to make it soon! Some chopped onion would

be good in this, too.
