Guest guest Posted December 29, 2008 Report Share Posted December 29, 2008 For those whose children had their tonsils removed, did your child ever experience coughing followed by throwing up and diagnosed at first with reflux? My daughter Suzanne last week went to the pediatrician for concern over her weight or lack of gaining weight post heart surgery and she found enlarged tonsils. She just saw her ENT less than a month ago and she (ENT) made no mention of her tonsils then. Suzanne has been throwing up since her last surgery for a Fontan completion in June and has been prescribed Prevacid which I think has helped but not completely. Her pediatrician put her on Flonase and Singulair in hopes of helping with the swelling and hoping the enlarged tonsils are from the recent cold she is getting over. Any reflux with enlarged tonsils?
