Deb,

It does look pretty good. However, it claims to only kill mold not

remove or denature it. Therefore it can stop infections but not any

of the other health concerns associated with mold, mold spores,

mold growth, mold fragments, and all the emanations. Mold still

needs to be removed, whether dead or alive.

Which makes it difficult for car air conditioners.

Another product which I've successfully used " seems " to do more

than kill mold. It is citracidal (grapefruit seed extract) which is the

active ingrediant in NutriBiotic. It can be found in health food

stores in a 2 oz white plastic bottle with red lettering. It will say it's

for internal use only.

Mix in a trigger sprayer at twice the concentration listed on the

bottle. Spray it into the air intake (usually along the bottom of the

windshield with the A/C on high and the air flow from the outside

through the vents near the face. Repeate with the air flow through

the floor vents.

Almost all the spray will hit surfaces and not go through the A/C

but if you use about 1/3 cup with each application enough usually

gets through to do the job. If it is better but not sufficient then

repeat.

If the second attempt isn't sufficient then you'll have to go to a

repair shop so they can circulate a larger quantity of the

NutriBiotic through the system.

BTW, usually the smell in a car A/C is bacteria, not mold. But the

NutriBiotic works just as well on that. Which makes if very

effective for many odors, at least the ones from microbes rather

than outgassing of products.

Has anyone ever used this product? It seems to be very good. How do I

use something like this in my car to get the smell out when I run the air

etc?

Thanks for your help

Just wanted to say Carl recommended this to me a while back and it worked! My

car's AC is mildy moldy but too much for me and it's a brand new car so there's

no replacing it yet. I tried the spray and it works. Now I do it every couple of

months to keep it fresh. It's the only thing that i can do right besides keeping

the windows open all the time!

Thanks Carl!
