Re temp housing and a landlord question

Hi, we just moved to temp housing due to water damage in our condo that started

in April.

I made a claim through my renter's insurance since I don't trust the landlords.

Anyway, a friend was telling me that the landlord should give me my rent pmt

back since half the condo is contained in plastic for remediation for the 4th

time and the kitchen is being remediated.

We've been staying at a neighbor's house. I just got the keys to a temp house

and have been moving some of our clothes, food, and important papers.

Anyway, anyone have this happen where the landlord had to return your rent

payment due to the repairs?

Right now, I'm paying for a place I can't live in.

They're finally going to tear out the lower kitchen cabinets.

Maybe I should go back to school and get a law degree in consumer protection?

Just a thought.
