Guest guest
I have been for the most part moving toward Vegetarian if not Vegan (love my milk, cheese, sour cream, yogurt all low fat or non-fat) especially after going to cardiologist in Dec and my triglycerides had climbed to slightly over 300 so I had to add Fish Oil (along with a medication I am already on the highest dose). I have added ground flaxmeal to my green smoothies and eating my sprouts...now the 2 weeks before I had the blood work I really had not been eating (or having smoothies) as I had no appetite nor any energy (I had laryngitis, bronchitis, plus my arm was and still is pain plus I think fatigue from doing so much for the baby shower and possibly headed toward a MS flare). So my question is this...has anyone ever heard of triglycerides/cholesterol going UP using sprouts, vegetables, fruits, beans, brown rice, quinona, etc? I have used coconut oil in a few dishes but again I thought from what I read this is good for both... I AM SO CONFUSED!!! I do see my neurologist to see if somehow my autoimmune disorders can mess things up.. also have a call into PCP.. I had other blood work but the PCP only got the Lipid profile... since both doctors (neurologist and cardiologist) had ordered this test ..I was curious as to other tests... also any clue as to where I can research more? On another note I posted on Vitamix but last night I tried the banana ice cream (banana, ice cubes, stevia, peanut butter, unsweetened cocoa, I also added some pineapple and non-fat milk).. YUMMY! I also have sprouting some delicious SproutPeople mix that has peanuts, sunflower seeds and some great tasting beans! I know what I'll be snacking on later!
