Guest guest
I have both of them, too. I like the little book to take shopping, as I'm trying to eat some new things (get out of that rut!). I haven't delved into the Encyclopedia much, yet. It looks very informative. Guest guest
Hi Helge, Digestive Wellness by Lipski is wonderful. It was very informative in explaining how the body works and how each individual supplement helps the body. However, I didn't find it helpful for detox remedies. I dont think Lipski even mentions liver/gallbladder flushes. She does have a section on detox, but none of the remedies were good for me. I hope this helps. God bless, KJ
Guest guest
I have Optimal Digestion and found it great. It covers just about every illness....compares complimentary treatments to allopathic treatments...and gives treatment suggestions for various health problems. It also gives a good description of how digestion works and how things go wrong and why. I believe that is what I am looking for right now. The technical and clinical aspect of what is happening to my husband can seem so bleak. I will order the book for both of us today. from Los Angeles blwong88@... Don't forget the G. Worman book, which is also good, using rather more academically couched text. The material is pretty much identical to that in Palmer's book. However, there might be some bit of information that Palmer doesn't include or that is not immediately accessible. For about $15 each, having two books may be worth it. If you're getting them from amazon.com, you can combine shipping costs. Harper

Guest guest
--- In , " cliffybayer " > Is the Attwood book " AS: A Guide for Parents and Professionals " a > good one? Janelle .....since I am new at this myself I can't totaly plug this book but I do have it and I have found it quite helpful thus far. A lovely lady I met on the NET sent me 15 books on Asperger's that she no longer needed and this was one of them. I personaly found it interesting because there is a section solely on girls.....BUT, I was glad that I had not purchased it on my own because his website has just about all of the info found in the book and it would have been repetitive. If not on hs website when I did a search I found most of the book as articles on other sites.

Please let us know when it will be out and we will be eager to read it. :-) I truly loved your first book and I think I ve read it twice maybe three times. Guest guest
Hi. Dora can't remember, I may have asked you this, but is it possible to get the book on tape or cd or through somewhere like amazon or a book rental site) My scanner seems to have spotty succests lately with books so I'm looking into other forms like cd or tape for more reading material since I wouldn't be locked down to my scanner and could carry the books with me and I wouldn't have to just get the jist of the material like I'm doing some now and I'm assuming it wouldn't come in braille? Otherwise I can just get it in print and get what I can out of scanning it. > Books >This is in reply to Deb's post on the CI-2 list....I would like to share it with members on other forums as well. >Hi Deb, >Thanks for reccomending my book Journey out of Silence! >Yup,i have been working on a sequel to Journey out of Silence. It is in the last stages and it will be released in mid October. The title is I DANCED--A Cochlear Implant Odyssey .You will have to read the book to find out the origin of the title. This book is more technical ,but written in a manner that is easy to understand, than my first book .It is my personal journey. My main reason for writing it is to inspire anyone who is experiencing ,or who might experience problems along their own journies , to not give up but to go that extra mile.It contains several helpful and informative submissions from professionals with knowledge of the cochlear implant. >I do have a limited number of copies of Journey out of Silence remaining ..I do review it in my new book ..but reading it will be helpful to anyone wishing to read I Danced. If anyone is interested in a copy just Email me privately.I am offering it (Journey out of Silence)to friends on the forums at a reduced rate. >Thanks! >Dora >Dora Weber >Nucleus Volunteer Advocate >dora_weber@... >Bilateral >N22-96 >N24C-01 >Cochlear Otosclerosis >
