Guest guest
I have posted on this group earlier regarding the ERMI test. ERMI test on carpet dust is not reliable. It will miss Stachybotrys. One need to do ERMI test on bulk samples of the mold growth. For example, I have performed ERMI test on multiple samples from homes. Different results and indexes were found for living room, dining room, master bedroom and master bath regarding dust samples. Bulk samples from various contaminated building materials were also different. In addition, an ERMI index of 2.5 does not necessarily make the situation safe. The ERMI index does not measure particulates less than one micron and does not test for the bacteria.
