Guest guest
My pots and pans are all ScanPans which are the same ceramic coating they use on the space shuttle. I've had it for years supposed to be non-stick, but you can get food caught in the very small crevices then you use that coiled metal scrubber to get it out. I just cook with them like regular. <G> Pam Reply-To: <sproutpeople > Date: Friday, May 25, 2012 10:34 PM To: " sproutpeople " <sproutpeople > Subject: Re: I used the Orgreenic pan for my patties > > > > > > I looked at the site and also on some of the you tube videos. Guest guest
Carolyn: With the Orgreenic, the first time you use it, you season it by putting some oil, heating it until it smokes, and then wiping it off. You are NEVER supposed to use any kind of soap after you use this for cooking. Just wipe it down. Been doing that. Works just fine. I wash the underside of it. I also wipe it down with a watered down paper towel so it's nice and clean for the next time I use it. It would appear that using any kind of soap on it would then render it STICKABLE!!! lol Melody > > Doesn't have a taste to the pan? I just looked it up and can get 2 pans for $19.95 plus the shipping of $6.95 for each pan. I checked on ebay and they had one pan for about that price. Even that blue pan didn't look too bad, but this one looked a bit better. Has anyone else tried this Orgreenic pan, too? I keep trying to get one that works this way, but then my husband messes up the seasoning. Have to wipe them out with oil afterwards. He washes and then doesn't reseal them with oil. Do you treat this pan the same way? Mine are not ceramic though. They were good pans when I got them. However, they can have a taste if they are cooked too hot. I think they are Ultra pans. I bought a nice new wok of stainless and he tried to season it as he didn't want to wait until I could and he overheated it and burned the bottom. As far as I am concerned it is ruined.  I have a friend who sells titanium cookware. Guest guest
That is my understanding too. It worked fine until my husband got hold of them. They have to be wiped out right after one cooks in the good pans. I usually heated them up a bit and then wiped off again. But my husband would put water in them. I have told him and told him. He would get irritated so I just ignore it now and deal with whatever happens. I don't know if I put my name on the skillet if it would make a difference. Yet he is particular about the dishes in the dishwasher and he hand cleans them and then puts in the dishwasher and unloads them so I decided I take the good with the bad. I may just have to change a pan every couple of years. I won't buy any really good pans and just try to keep the ones I have.   Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Saturday, May 26, 2012 11:10 AM Subject: Re: I used the Orgreenic pan for my patties  Carolyn: With the Orgreenic, the first time you use it, you season it by putting some oil, heating it until it smokes, and then wiping it off.
