Guest guest
I am going to put the video site on my Facebook. Those little baby piggies looked like brown watermelons. So cute. I can sure understand the need for a heavy coat in Michigan. When my mom was growing up, her parents bought 2 piglets in the spring and then fattened them up with table scraps and feed and then butchered them in the fall and had one for the family smokehouse and the other went to be sold and they all got a pair of shoes and a coat if needed for the winter. It was what was between them and being barefoot for the winter. May not be the veggies we need in our diet, but some people do eat meat. And a family farm is at stake. If they are not attacking people or out beyond the fences, how are they feral?   Feral means wild to me. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Thursday, March 29, 2012 10:59 AM Subject: Stuff  Thought you guys might want to watch this - a Michigan farmer and what he's going through. Yes, it is really getting crazy! I do have a website Melody - I'd share it here so you can see...but you just never know. We try to stay " under the radar " as much as possible nowadays. That's why I really hesitate to have who knows who come by. I actually had a trailer on craigslist last summer and guess who showed up to possibly buy it? A USDA guy....scarey. He was really nice though! To add to your GREENS recipe, I use some red pepper strips and shredded carrots. Then I add a little white wine vinegar, balsamic or apple cider vinegar (raw) sprinkled on top. I also add sesame seeds to the top. I probably under cook my greens versus overcooking them. I wait until the color changes and they have begun to cook - that's done enough for me. I definitely use the stems - I love them. There is really no difference - it's part of the vegetable and you paid for it! I'm thinking....wouldn't it be good to put some sprouts in this mix too? Especially the bean sprouts? Carol S. Guest guest
Yeah, Bean sprouts added to the mix. I'll do that on another night. Oh, these greens are marvelous. Guest guest
Hi, I just watched the youtube video bakersgreenacres. Scary scary scary!!! They don't want farms to succeed. It's very obvious.
