Guest guest
I am trying to find cheap pieces of furniture to use at new location. There are " dorm Specials " at the futon shop... the futon mattresses aremade of recycled cotton and soy foam. I think the soy source is OK and dont think it is replacing all petros, but they claim offgassing is reduced 50%. This would be used as a sofa. The organic mattresses are expensive though less expensive that traditional organic mattresses.. Im concerned about getting used furniture from a used furniture place. I am concerned about the soy foam and the recycled cotton.. specifically if the recyled cotton is clean or uncontaminated? How woold you know? Im picturing piles of cotton clothing some which have mold damage being recycled... Here's an example: http://www.thefutonshop.com/product.aspx?subcatID=635 & productID=4960 & pname=Super\ -EZ-Futon-Sofa-Bed-Student-Dorm-Room-Special-with-Lotus-Cotton-Futon-Mattress Thanks for any input.. Robin (Robin: I wouldn't pick anything up at used furniture store. From what I have seen, so many houses are not healthy and you have no idea where they have been. Barb I can't ever find the post after it has pended so putting my comments here now...
