Davey will be twelve this week. His feet are so wide. I could not find velcro shoes that fit. We made it one of his IEP goals. The OT has been working with him. They also brought a model into the classroom for him to practice with every day. We also found these curly laces that we put in tie shoes. He pulled them and the shoe tightened around his foot. It was modeling for the actual shoe tying. It has been a very long process. He also wants a cool pair of basketball shoes, so that became a motivator. Next up, buttons!Love life and be gentle,

How did you teach him to tie? We've been working on this FOREVER and he is about to turn 13. UGH.

Congrats to Davey. Whoohoo. Maggie we had shoe tying as one of ’s IEP goals and they just kept at it and she did it!

Welcome , I have triplets turning 13 in about a month. Great pic! Did you drive up to Hershey Park from Georgia? Fun park!

P.S. Just thought of this. For the kids’ b-day we are probably getting Jon and Liz cell phones. Then the question remains, what do we get ? No phone. iPad costs too much?

Maybe a new iPod Touch I guess. She absolutely loves her iPod. Any other ideas?
