They are finding that this works on children with Cerebralpalsy If it can

work on them it sure can work on RSD !!!. I have a neice with it, and it

seem that they are trying the same things that they try on her like Botox

and stuff on pateints with RSD.

I AM PRESENTLY HAVING THESE TREATMENTS FOR WOUND CARE ON MY RIGHT LEG....BUT

MORESO FOR MY RSD. I AM HOPEFUL THAT IT WILL AT LEAST BRING THE SEVERE PAIN

DOWN TO TOLERABLE PAIN. I HAVE HAD FOUR TREATMENTS TO DATE. I DO NOT

NOTICE ANY DIFFERENCES AS OF YET, BUT AM HOPEFUL FOR SUCCESS!

THANKS FOR THE 411 AND I WILL CONTACT YOU IF THIS HELPS FOR YOUR RECORDS, AS

I AM IN THE KIND OF CHAMBER YOU DESCRIBED.

I've heard of it being used and of getting some relief, but when I

tried it I got claustrophobic after a minute and had to be released!

It does help, However if you are looking for a cure I will tell you that it's

not out there. HBOT will push Abx deeper into the tissues and boost the immune

system.

My son did 5 weeks of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He felt great while in the

chamber and then for a few hours after each session(daily). The effects were not

long lasting as far as we can tell. This is not to say it was not beneficial. If

he could do it it every day, he would. It is, however, very expensive,

prohibitively so. There are soft-sided portable chambers that can be purchased

on-line, but their effectiveness as compared to the hard-shell high pressure

chambers is questionable.Steve C.

that makes sense to me; at least from a scientific point of view I would guess

it is only adressing some of the symptoms, not the cause of the problem (like

many 'treatments' for Lyme). So the benefit disappears quickly after you stop

the treatment.

Borrelia has great survival skills; once it has established itself in the body,

you can't kill it except with very strong stuff (which often is dangerous for

the host as well, in the concentrations that are really effective).

I have started HBOT therapy and seem to have gotten rid of all the pressure in

my head. Has anyone had long term success. If so, how many treatments did you

do? I am happy to hear anyone's experience or opinions. thanks. C

Thanks for posting this.

We tried to use our local MS centre and were required to get Drs permission.. They said NO.. How did you get MS centre to agree to taking your son for dives?

Many thanks

Although related to MS centre funding, I have been filmed with my son at Coventry MS centre after undergoing 28 dives of HBO therapy. J is doing really well. For a child with severe verbal dyspraxia and very few clear words the oxygen seems to be helping him clarify his speech sounds and he is certainly an enthusiastic learner. His eye contact has improved, his ability to listen has improved, he is nodding his head in acknowledgement as you talk to him, he is carrying instructions out over distance and time but most of all his speech is coming!!! never say never, even at the age of 9.
