Hi Amy welcome to the group This is a wonderful group and everyone is very helpful. I joined the group in June of 2010 after finding out my son Cruz had DS. I found out through amniocentisi, I was 4 1/2 months pregnant with him and I needed to find support and to hear from other families how they coped with having more than one child with DS. My 8 year old son has DS. I have a total of six children there is Marco 10 Nilsa 20 Mitri 22 and Jamal 30. If you have any questions or just want to share something we always welcome it To: Multiples-DS Sent: Sunday, January 15, 2012 11:07 AM Subject: Answering questions

Welcome Amy. I am Marcia and have been part of this group since my twins were four. They are now 17. The time has flown. Our twins are boy/girl with our daughter Sara having Down Syndrome. She is now a sophomore in high school and is doing well. She will be having surgery in four weeks at Seattle Children's to repair a vascular ring, which was diagnosed in the last year; however, has been present since birth. It is affecting her esophagus and trachea, because the ring is completely surrounding them. We will be thankful to have it over.

Welcome to the group.

Hi Amy, and welcome!!I am Casey, mom to (DS) and , who are 12, as well as who is 24. I've been a member of this group since the twins were about 14 months old. It's been with me through 's heart surgery at 18 months, therapies, first steps, first IEP, hiring a lawyer in her first grade year, and most recently her (surprisingly smooth) transition to middle school. There are amazing people here with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Ask away, lurk - whatever your style is, but welcome and please feel free to share or ask anything!CaseyTo: Multiples-DS Sent: Monday, January 16, 2012 7:14:24 PMSubject: Re: Answering questions
