Guest guest
Good morning! I have just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Wakefield. My husband's name is . We have twin 15 month old daughters. Lorelei has Down Syndrome and her sister is Mikaela. We live in Virginia. My husband and I are both teachers. Fortunately, Lorelei does not have any heart issues. She was born with a closed nasal passage and had her first surgery at 3 days old and a second at about a month old. We have been very fortunate since then. I look forward to communicating with everyone and even meeting some of you, hopefully! Sent from my iPad

Guest guest
,Welcome!I'm wondering if we have a birthday in common. My identical twins, and Meredith, were born on February 27, 2011 ... They're just a little over 15 months now. Both girls have DS, and AVSd, and are finally on the growth charts at a whopping 3% at this 15 month check up. Yeah!Welcome, and enjoy the teething with twins ... We are keeping supplies of Tylenol, oranges, and teething tablets. Did anyone else have their kids get two bottom teeth and then top molars not front teeth? A pretty wild week that was!TerrySent from my iPad Welcome to this group ! I'm Joyce and I am married to my wonderful husband, Mike, and we have seven kids. Three of those seven kids were born having Down Syndrome. I am in the records, so they say. (and, interestingly enough, I'm not a carrier and neither is my husband of 36 years) What a joy and what a blessing life has been with these special kids! They have brought us CLOSE as a family and they have taught us so much! Enjoy every moment and every milestone as your children grow! (it seems that life is flying by and they just grow up so quickly!). I look forward to your postings and hearing more about your precious children.Joyce FledderjohannMom to seven: -35, Leah-34, Mike-31, -28(DS), -26, -18(DS), and -15(DS/Autism/JRA)Sent from my iPad Good morning! Guest guest
Our girls were born March 1, 2011. They were 7 weeks premature. Lorelei (DS) spent two months in two different NICUs. Mikaela spent a month in the NICU. What is AVSd, if you don't mind me asking?Sent from my iPad ,Welcome!I'm wondering if we have a birthday in common.
