Guest guest
Hello, As some of you may remember I am currently pregnant with twins and waiting it out with a high risk of my baby girl having down syndrome. Her risk comes from a high nuchal at 11 weeks (3.5 mm), EIF, and now at 34.3 weeks she is growth restricted. Her brother weighs 5.3lbs and she is only at 4lbs. Her cord has reduced flow. The plan is to deliver them at 36 weeks which is next Monday but they will be closely monitored before then just in case they need to come out sooner. I am so worried about my babies. I know 36 weeks is pretty good for twins but with her being so small and possibly having down syndrome I am still do worried. Was anyone else in a similar situation when they gave birth? What was the outcome? Did they have long NICU stays? I can't imagine only being able to bring one baby home. I live an hour from the hospital and can't imagine having to choose between which baby I will need to be with. Can anyone give me some hope? Thanks for your support!
