Lots of good information and, I'm sure, you can help others with your experience as well. I have a 10-yr-old daughter and almost-7-year-old identical twin boys who have Down syndrome. Looking forward to getting to know you. Best Regards, Maggiewww.walkonthehappyside.wordpress.com To: " Multiples-DS " <Multiples-DS > Sent: Friday, February 10, 2012 9:06 PM Subject: Hello Hello. My name is and I live in Georgia. In 2005 my husband and I welcomed our first daughter, . We found out shortly after her birth that she sported an extra chromosome resulting in Trisomy 21. Because she has Translocation 21:21, my husband and I were tested to see if we were carriers of the " sticky gene " that could cause DS. The results showed that we were not and that it was just a " fluke " occurance. 2 1/2 years later our second daughter, Amelia, surprised us with the same extra chromosome. We were both under 30 and have had numerous testing done, but the geneticist can find nothing. We love our girls so much and feel so blessed to have them in our lives. They are now 4 1/2 and 7 (next week.) We do plan on having more children in the very near future despite our " high risk. " Looking forward to what the future holds for our family. -- Love life and be gentle,
