Guest guest
Just from my experience, the sensitivity doesn't actually go away so much as your reactions become milder if you stay away from mold altogether. For example, if I've been mold free for a month and wander into a bad situation but get out fast I recover kind of quickly. The trick is to get out fast because sometimes I will have 2 or 3 really bad exposures in a row and then I'm sick for a while. It depends on how badly you are hit and how often and how fast you can escape the exposure. It's SO tricky. And everyone is SO different! I've recovered from the initial exposure to mold (at home and at work) but I'll never be the same. Sometimes (2 years ago) I had 6 months of heaven. I don't know why, it was just good. It's not good now (washing machine moldy, feel sick, have to deal with it but feel too sick to deal...) It's day to day. And slow. But it can get much better with time and detoxing. I did Jin Shin to detox, but everyone here has their own thing. It's all good. I'd be happy to discuss, email me if you want info. It feels very hopeless in the beginning-just know that it's normal and you will recover. Surella > > good morning. Guest guest
Hello K--I'm so sorry to hear that you are having so much difficulty. I have been exposed in a big way a few times and do get exposed here and there in a minor way and can say that every time I have left the environment it does go away after awhile. At least the part that is discernible to me as mold induced. (I'm qualifying in that way bc I do have other issues, like Ehlers Danlos--hypermobility type and CFS--but I can honestly say I've never been so sick as when I've been living in this condo--nonetheless I have a lot of hope that it will go away, as it has before, with extreme avoidance and with supportive measures.) Take good care of yourself. Try to do something nice for yourself to help distract from the fear. ~ANÂ From: khandalah <candalah@...> Subject: [] Worried about hypersensitivity Date: Sunday, November 7, 2010, 8:17 PM good morning. I've moved house a couple of times after 3 years in the wdb. Its I'm very hypersensitive to all mold and don't kbow what to do. When i was staying at my mums a few clothes of hers got musty and i found i couldn't breath as well in the houae and couldn't sleep that nught. I spent most night in car. The next day i left that houae and went to friends. There have been a few frightening incidents: i was helping them cooking and peeled and chopped an onion that had been rinsed in water, i started getting reactions right away, mainly twitching inside, and congestion it's hard to explain. Again i get the slight burning in the lungs. Is this hypersensitivity something that will die down now that im out of the wdb or does this only go away with extreme avoidance? Please help I'm quite concerned.
