Guest guest
If that cotton was not organic, then you were probably exposed to chemicals from that also. I worked in a hospital for 12 yrs, developed MCS from ongoing renovations, daily cleaning. My throat was sore most of that time and sometimes my voice was almost gone. The only things that seemed to help me was not eating cruncy foods (toast, chips, nuts, etc), plus at night, while laying on my back, I put a Cepacol lozenge in my throat and let it melt slowly. Also, I made a cup of golden seal & ecchinacea tea (bags) and put in a bottle and took a mouthful every hour or 2 during the day, gargled then swallowed. Avoid acid foods, too (citrus, canned tomatos, etc). Start looking for another job as you will continue to get worse.  I hope things get better for you. ....Corky ________________________________ From: research1844 research1844@...  Could losing one's voice be mold-related? Guest guest
I was a teacher and for years during renovations and the mold I was constantly horse and losing my voice. I would drink a lot of warm tea but nothing seems to help. One teacher was so sick once I don't think her voice ever returned to normal, it stayed raspy. I have not had one problem with my voice in 7 yrs. since leaving the school. Haven't even had a common cold or any allergies of any kind! I think avoidance is the only answer. Guest guest
seems that cotton mills, factory's, would have a fair share of molds and myco's floating around, not to memtion alot of irritateing particles in the air, hard on sinuses. I use to knit and crochet but I cant do it now because of the particles/fluff/whatever that comes off the yarn, never noticed it before my sinuses were damaged, but I know now. I've got a sore throat and swollen glands right now, fell like crap, started out with loseing my voice for 2 days. it's been raining way to much, the air is pretty moldy outside, it's bad at night right now, when the wind calms done it's thick. looking like it might be a bad year for moldy crops, but in some places that haven't even got the fields planted. I hope things get better for you. > > ...Corky > > > ________________________________ > From: research1844 research1844@... >  > Could losing one's voice be mold-related? > > I think it's my new job, working with all this used-clothes. ...- > [snipped] > > > > > >
