Guest guest
Alison,If you asked the school to make sure he ate his food up, wouldn't they try to comply? I would try to emphasize the fact this is a 'food', ie. concentrated pineapple and papaya, not a drug, and you want him to have it and would like their help. If digestive enzymes are implied as drugs, then the nurse will probably take issue with it. You have to take this out of her domain. Plead the food argument.I'd be furious too! They did the same thing with us.The staff made me feel like a mother with severe OCD.....Alternatively, you can skin the cat the other way and just put the enzymes in a juice. Asking above question as when we had ist consults a B'spear both and Charlie were already on enzymes. I just wondered if they usually recommend them anyway. The wonderful school nurse who has stopped Charlie's school giving him enzymes has now advised 's school the same. Her enzymes were sent home today with a letter via - no qurestions, no discussion! I am furious. I'm going to contact B'spear to see if they can support this. I already have a letter for Charlie from them but school are still looking a me as though I have 2 heads. I'm assuming as I have rubbish relationship with them they just don't want to help my children. If B'spear have suggested enzymes to you please let me know. Guest guest
Hi Alison I had the same issue when Harry attended school (he is now home educated). I went to doctors and saw a "locum" who admitted that doctors were not taught much about nutrition, but i did take along alot of info regarding autism & digestive enzymes plus i told her that my son had solid poop after 3 days of taking these, instead years of diarrhea prior to that (the diarrhea had been documented on there computers as i had taken Harry when he young and then again after he was diagnosed, only to be told prior to diagnoses its toddler diarrhea, then when diagnosed that it was to do with autism!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The locum was very understanding and really nice about it all and signed a headed letter then and there to authorize the school to administer the enzymes, which were the chews and didnt need to be administered as they were in Harry's lunch box and he took them no problem on his own accord. x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: moppett1@...Date: Sat, 3 Mar 2012 13:57:50 +0000Subject: Re: Do Breakspear ever recommend enzymes?
