Guest guest
One of my favorite GT flavor's is Cherry Chia, but of course it is now their inferior " reformulated " version. It was quite easy to replicate at home...just add 1-3 tbs of chia seeds per 16 oz bottle and and 1-3 tsp of concentrated cherry juice. The cherry juice I am using is super concentrated, so a little goes a long ways. But, hey, it's cherry season! Why not just pulverize and strain some fresh cherries, can't get better than that! Just be sure to use organic cherries, they are nortorious for pesticide residues. It takes a lot of shaking of the bottle to get the chia seeds to unclump once they've absorbed some liquid and is easier if you leave 2-4 oz of headspace in the bottle prior to adding the said ingredients. Next time I am thinking of just mixing a batch in the mixer or blender first, then bottling it. I haven't quite figured out the ideal ratio of chia to liquid, but 1-3 tbs is what I have played with so far. Too little and the chia is annoying, too much and the drink is too thick. I am thinking around 2 tbs might be just right, but I've been out of chia and haven't tried it in a while. > ** > > > Anyone succeeded in making good Chia Kombucha? Guest guest
Thank you that really helps alot! I chose to stir my chia in half a bottle of KT , then 10 mins later did the same, then let the sit and gel up, after that added more KT. It seemes to work also!
