I have some applemint that thrives in my yard. It has a sweeter milder taste

than my peppermint. I also have a chocolate mint that is heavenly. It smells

like chocolate, and the flavor has just a hint of chocolate.  :-)

>>>Perhaps you would prefer fresh mint from the garden better....it is very

cooling and helps digestion. I harvest some and then " bruise " it a bit and put

it in water or KT.<<

Hmmm. I thinkkkkk I tried mint once and didn't care for it...but I'll bet that

was before I knew about my fancy for aged ginger, which was my very first flavor

that I took to my Dad's and never got to try except the first taste when I made

it. That is when I didn't like it much. My Dad never drank what I gave him, so

when I visited him months after that, I tasted it my bottles and my taste buds

popped. So maybe I would like aged mint booch that same way cuz mint and ginger

have similarly scaled flavors. I bet I will.

I am growing spearmint at my house this year for the first time because someone

wanted to give me some. And my Dad has peppermint on his farm that I will dig up

and root at my house.

I wish I liked KT more. I drink alot of it, but almost never like it. And the

ones I HAVE liked I have no clue how to reproduce. The one was my recent 9-wk

old brew that never turned to vinegar. The very first one was after I knew I

liked aged ginger, so I thought I would like everything aged. So, on that

particular day, I had opened a bottle that was months old and it was

MMM--MMMM---SOOO GOOD. But there was nothing floating in it, and I had others

that had nothing floating in them and they were not yummy like this one.

Hmmm. :-/ Since these two scenarios seemed to be both plain, maybe I just need

to age some plain booch again and see if that is the flavor I liked.

But I know what I will be trying to flavor some with now. Mint! I might even try

a bottle of ginger/mint. ;-)
