Guest guest Posted April 3, 2012 Report Share Posted April 3, 2012 I use my crockpot constantly! RARELY if ever use salt and like yesterday when I made pepper steak I use low sodium soy sauce. There are a ton of cookbooks and online recipes for good tasty dishes in crockpot. I love Ray and every so often she does specific episodes say on crockpots...one thing I started doing after watching a few segments is I brown my chicken, etc before putting it in crockpot so it stays more solid (if that is what I;m looking for). When I make items like pepper steak I will add various sprouts depending what I have but lentils and protein sprouts will go in not only crockpot but stirfries and other things whether crockpot or pot.. in such stuff like soups or when I;m having braised lentils. Some people ask why I use crockpot since I;m disabled and am home...I have more energy in AM so.. it is easier for me to get dinner ready and if I forget like today..sure enough had to do takeout...I had a veggie pizza.
