Guest guest
The reason for clear jars plastic is so that the flies once in the jar will try to get out on the sides and not figure out they can go back up the funnel. They will be attracted to the light that comes thru the clear sides. r. > LOL, too funny. Guest guest
That was what I was thinking too. I figued I can get the 2 ltr bottles (like when we have a get together) and otherwise I would have water bottles which are smaller. Or maybe even distilled water containers. Those are good to stick nose down in the dirt and fill with water and it will eventually go into the ground by your plant or tree. Can do the 2 ltr bottles the same way. Can go down the street if recyclers are out and find all the bottles you need. if you need to use a funnel, they have them at the dollar store. You could keep your funnel and pitch the jar with the dead wasps or bugs or knats, etc. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, April 30, 2012 9:11 PM Subject: Re: Here's my make shift gnat catcher  LOL, too funny. Guest guest
I thought the dish detergent was to lessen the surface tension of the vinegar so they would sink and drown.
