The Drama is not helping

KC and All:

As much as I hate to do this, I would like to be removed from the Sick

Buildings Group.

The reason is because I strongly believe that anyone or group continuing to

fuel the dispute amongst our own team members is harming forward progress

and enabling those who would like to sweep a very real health problem under

the rug.

There are two sides to this story and some of the arguments, as presented,

are incorrect. In the interest of full disclosure, I recently accepted a

role as a member of ACHEMMIC's membership committee; this role is in

addition to my primary role in Policyholders of America.

It is my opinion, after having reviewed all of the correspondence that

precedes the, now very public, " dispute " , the original ACHEMMIC code of

conduct that was co-authored and approved by some of the folks who are

propelling the dispute, has been repeatedly violated. Within ACHEMMIC's

membership, many have asked to be removed from the internal email exchanges

because

those exchanges have gone from half-way legitimate to the absurd. Instead of

adhering to the requests made by many, to be excluded from the " drama " ,

(a.k.a. " the endless email exchanges " ), the number and nasty tone of the

emails have increased -- which actually has resulted in eliminating any

legitimacy of the argument made by the ACHEMMIC member that tendered her

resignation. Moreover, that former ACHEMMIC member and her proxies' frantic

efforts

to post the dispute on chat boards and hereon the Sick Buildings Group,

have been made aware that their dramatic rantings are divisive and harmful to

forward movement of an important public health issue. One cannot help but

wonder if those egging on the dispute are actually proxies for the

opposition. Whatever the motivation, it is in best interest of anyone and

everyone

whose health and/or property has been damaged by mycotoxin-producing molds

to put down their swords and work together to educate the public,

regulators, legislators and industry about the new research and findings that

prove

what we all know is true.

During the last 11 years and until the past few weeks, I have enjoyed the

exchanges posted here and have made many wonderful (and lifelong) friends.

For that, I am truly grateful.

But, given the direction of the group and the forum it is providing for

airing internal conflict amongst our own, you have delighted and aided the

opposition. Now, I feel it's time for me to move on.

I wish all the best for your members and may all of you achieve justice and

regain your health!

Your friend,

Melinda Ballard

Robin,

At some point you are going to have to bite the bullet and choose which of

the confusing " facts " and " opinions " you are going to trust.

If you choose wrong you can use that information to try again. And you

keep going and keep refining until you eventually find improvement.

No one has the definitive answers you seek and need. Which means you, like

me, and others are ultimately alone in this. We can be there for each

other and we can get ideas and learn but we have to create our own answers.

You are driving yourself crazy and increasing your stress by the obsessive

drive for absolute certainty and perfection. Our challenge is to make

critical choices with insufficient knowledge.

Take a breath, make some choices, and see what happens. Then let us know

so we can be there for you whether successful or something less.

I also have lyme and am wondering how much is mold. I have the

multisuseptable HLA.

I think the theives might hav ekilled some mold but the toxins are left

behind. Others can chime in about that one.
